Rooted in Ajmer

Mahaveer Gajak Bhandar is based in Ajmer, Rajasthan, and dedicated to traditional winter confections. We make Gajak, Tilpatti, and Rewari with sesame seeds, jaggery, and dry fruits.

Each sweet has its own texture and balance of sesame and jaggery. Over the years we have learned how roasting temperatures and jaggery consistency shape the final bite, and we keep to the same careful method in every batch.

We use unadulterated sesame seeds, natural jaggery, and quality dry fruits, because the sweets are only as good as what goes into them.

How we make them

Roast, boil, beat

Roasting the sesame

Sesame seeds are roasted slowly until they turn toasted and fragrant, the first step in building the nutty base of every Gajak and Tilpatti.

Boiling the jaggery

Pure jaggery is boiled to a carefully watched consistency, since the balance of heat and time decides how crisp and brittle the sweet becomes.

Hand-beating the mix

The warm mixture is beaten by hand, which lets us shape each batch and set its texture before it cools.

Finishing with dry fruits

Dry fruits are added with care, so every Rewari and Tilpatti keeps its own texture and balance of sesame and jaggery.

Our commitment

No shortcuts, only sesame and jaggery

We make our confections the traditional way, with unadulterated ingredients and no shortcuts.
